The Health Technologies Unit develops projects under contract as its main way of collaborating with its clients. The FIK initiative and Transversal Aging Action stand out among its models of relations.
- FIK: most of this unit’s activity is developed within the FIK framework. A private initiative within the context of ageing and disability. The Health Technologies Unit carries out all the research for this company, which is responsible for subsequently exploiting the results. This initiative is based on the backing of over 25 investor members who have placed their trust in this ambitious project with an investment of 50 million euros.
- Transversal Ageing Action: The Health Technologies Unit is leading this initiative that has emerged out of the interpretation of the phenomenon of the ageing of the population as a multi-sectoral opportunity. This initiative tackles the ageing market simultaneously and coherently with the Tecnalia model, alongside different business units involved in this "new economy". This is an opportunity to position Tecnalia as a leader in the development of technologies in the "ageing economy", to increase the market share of each of its business units through an integrated offer, and to join forces to attain economics of scale.
