Presence in Europe

The Health Technologies Unit belongs to the European networks AALIANCE (European Ambient Assisted Living Innovation Alliance), AAATE (Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe), EUROP (The European Robotics Technology Platform); to the Spanish ones e-Via (Spanish Technology Platform for Health, Well-being and Social Cohesion technologies), APTES (Association for the promotion of social technology), the Red Temática Española de Tecnologías de Apoyo a Personas con Discapacidad y Mayores (Spanish Thematic Network of Assistive Technologies for People with Disabilities, and the Elderly), HISPAROB (Spanish Robotics Platform); and to RIBERDISCAP (Latin American Network for Assistive Technologies for Disabilities).

As regards the framework of the European Union, the Health Technologies Unit is currently participating in 6 European Projects (3 IP, 1 STREP, 2 AAL, 1 ITEA), and is coordinating one of them.
