RCMethod to obtain ceramic coatings and ceramic coatings obtained.

This patent refers to a procedure to obtain ceramic coatings and the obtained ceramic coatings. This process allows us to obtain ceramic oxides such as ZrO2, Al2O3, TiO2, Cr2O3, Y2O3, SiO2, CaO, MgO, CeO2, Sc2O3, MnO, and/or complex combinations of the same, by means of a technique using the detonation of high-frequency pulses in which the relative movement between the combustion stream and the substrate or piece to be coated takes place at a speed that produces an overlapping of the different coating areas, thus exceeding the coating of 60% of the surface. This process allows for the production of ceramic coatings with a thickness of more than 30 micron in one sole operation.

  • Patent EP2039796 (B1): Method to obtain ceramic coatings and ceramic coatings obtained.

TLPElectrical interconnection system in a marine environment.

The electrical interconnection system between at least one electric power generator and one electric power transfer system (e.g.: a submarine cable) includes: a submersible float device (with positive buoyancy), an anchoring subsystem to anchor the float device on the seabed, and an electrical interconnection subsystem to interconnect the electricity generators and the electricity transfer system. The electrical interconnection subsystem is linked to the float device. The invention also relates to a corresponding installation and method.

  • Patent WO2011076957 (A1): Electrical interconnection system between at least one electricity generator and one electricity transfer system in a marine environment.

rotorDirect-action superconducting synchronous generator for a wind turbine

The invention relates to a direct-action electricity generator for a wind turbine fitted with salient rotor poles and a stepped cryostat for housing superconducting coils and keeping them at a cryogenic temperature while the inside of the cryostat contains no coolant. The invention makes it possible to achieve optimum thermal insulation of the coils without having to continuously refill the cryostat and guarantees a good distribution of the magnetic field without the use of costly materials.

  • Patent WO2011080357 (A1): Direct-action superconducting synchronous generator for a wind turbine.

glicerinaProcess to purify glycerine deriving from biodiesel production

Glycerine has the potential of becoming an extremely versatile building block in the biorefinery industry. However, the raw glycerine derived from the manufacturing of biodiesel is of very low quality (approximately 50%), given that it is usually composed of a mix of glycerine, methanol, inorganic salts, fatty acids, triglycerides that have not reacted and other materials, found in different amounts. This patent describes a laboratory-level process to develop the purification of glycerine using electrodialysis (ED) membrane technology.

  • Patent P201031399: Process to purify glycerine deriving from biodiesel production.
