This is a conference that will be held between 27^th and 29^th of June in the Euskalduna Palace of Bilbao. This conference has been organized under the slogan "New Avenues to fill the gap between health and Welfare Demands and Effective ICT Solutions" by the AAL Association, Osakidetza and TECNALIA, together with the Department of Health and Consumer Affairs of the Basque Government.

Our purpose is to attain the following goals:

• To provide a detailed identification of the different market barriers that currently impede AAL solutions from being deployed and used by the citizens who really need them.
• To find new ways and procedures to overcome the current market barriers.
• To address the need to drive AAL products and solutions to being commercially available as mainstream products.
• To tackle the need for the design of new policies in order to remove current constraints.
• To analyse the real needs of potential buyers and end-users to avoid mismatches between offer and demand
