Description of offer:

The Health Technologies unit seeks, develops and investigates new technologies with the goal to transfer them into products and services for the health and medtech industry. The unit’s main application fields are rehabilitation, assistive technologies and e-Health.

The successful applicant will be involved in ongoing research in the field of functional electrical stimulation (FES), which is very well established at the Health Technologies unit in TECNALIA. Specifically, the FES team is worldwide leading in the development of novel transcutaneous array electrode technologies for a wide range of applications. As project manager the applicant will have responsibility about several FES related projects and supervise an interdisciplinary team of young researchers and developers of the rehabilitation department. He/she is invited to introduce new R&D projects that that support the still young and growing industry with new innovative rehabilitation technologies and/or improve rehabilitation techniques.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. degree in Biomedical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience and knowledge in functional electrical stimulation.
• High english level.
• Experience in project management, acquision of R&D funds and collaboration with industry partners.
• Preferably knowledge in the development of wearable technologies and soft tissue garments.
