The electric car and electric transport systems, in general, are a clear tendency and represent the near future. TECNALIA has amassed solid experience in this field and is an international benchmark in the development of HW and SW for the control and simulation of electric propellers in different types of vehicles (from 0.1 to 30 ton), based on V technologies with its own tools.

The increasing need to personalise products requires more flexible production, capable of adapting to demand and a changing environment. In this reality, robotics is being increasingly integrated into production, as the tool to do so. At TECNALIA, we are working on technologies that enable us to develop flexible robotics: mechatronics for pilot stations, advanced control architectures, manipulators, easy-programming, perception systems, auto-adjustable route planning or mobile robotics.
ALM (Additive Layer Manufacturing) or AM (Additive Manufacturing) can be defined as the set of technologies capable of producing parts / 3-D Components based on the sum (piling) of different 2-D layers. It is undoubtedly a Technology that is revolutionising today's production methods and which is increasingly present in industry. Tecnalia, with a unique combination of knowledge in materials science, material processes and manufacturing technologies, is a reference in this field. Of the different existing methods, Tecnalia focuses particularly on additive manufacturing through plasma welding (WAAM) and contribute to thermal projection (Cold Spray).
