Presencia en Europa

La Unidad de Sistemas Industriales es miembro de las redes europeas EURON (European Robotics Research Network), EUROP (The European Robotics Technology Platform) y ARTEMIS (Advanced Research & Technology for Embedded Systems). A nivel de redes, la unidad de Sistemas Industriales pertenece al “High Level Group” de la plataforma MANUFUTURE (European Technological Platform for Researching in Manufacturing), coordina la Plataforma Española MANUFUTURE-E y participa en la definición del programa de trabajo plurianual de la Public-Private Partnership (PPP) “Factories of the Future”.

En lo que se refiere al 6º Programa Marco de la Unión Europea, la Unidad de Sistemas Industriales ha coordinado 5 proyectos (2 STREPS, 1 IP y 2 CRAFT) y ha participado como socio en 17 proyectos. Actualmente la Unidad de Sistemas Industriales participa en 28 proyectos europeos, liderando 4 de ellos:

1. INMA: “Innovative Manufacturing of complex Ti sheet components”. 7º Programa Marco. Llamada FP7-2010-TRANSPORT. Aeronautics and Air Transport.
2. DEMAT: “Dematerialised Manufacturing Systems: A new way to design, build, use and sell European Machine Tools”. 7º Programa Marco. Llamada FP7-NMP-2009-SME-3
3. SHIPWELD. “Automatic Welding Process for the Shipbuilding Industry”. Interreg Atlantic Area.
4. ICEJET: “Ice Jet Technology pilot plant for drastically reducing waste produced by abrasive water jet cutting techniques”. Porgrama Life+

Sistemas Industriales ha participado asimismo en la organización de la Conferencia del VII Programa Marco de  la Presidencia Española de la UE “The European RTD Framework Programmes: From economic recovery to sustainability”, a través de la coordinación de la Support Action “International Conference of the Spanish EU Presidency 2010. The European Framework Programme: from Recovery to Sustainability” (EU2010_R2S).

Además, ha sido la encargada de organizar en 2010 el tercer “EURON EUROP Annual Meeting".
