Our experts will showcase the phenomena that generate the different corrosion processes. Different methods for the protection against corrosion and monitoring will also be presented, highlighting those sectors in which corrosion is an especially severe problem.
Programme
- The hydrogen embrittlement phenomena, the corrosion of reinforced concrete and the corrosion in specific environments will be tackled.
- The programme will also focus on tests for the assessment of the corrosion of materials, as well as accelerated tests to simulate the conditions that can cause different corrosion phenomena, and alternatives to tests in controlled real environments.
- We will round off the course by looking at a series of failure analysis case studies.
Elective theoretical and experimental session on the 19th
Just as in the previous edition, this year will offer the chance to take an elective theoretical and experimental training session on the 19th.
- During this session, we will delve into the electrochemical principles governing the corrosion phenomena.
- This session will combine an experimental part with a theoretical part, which will be taught by Dr. Jean-Baptiste Jorcin.
- The session will take place in our laboratories, in small groups, with a minimum of three participants.

- The cost for registration in the course is € 250 (+VAT) per person for those only attending the course; and € 340 (+VAT) per person for those attending both the course (2 days) and the elective theoretical and experimental session.
