The Internet of Things, Big Data and artificial intelligence are crucial paradigms for advancing the digital transformation of organisations, as one of the consequences of the emergence of the IoT is the generation of large volumes of data from which value can be extracted through the use of Big Data technology and the application of artificial intelligence in order to offer better services to users. These new trailblazing technologies entail major challenges concerning its implementation, with difficulties in terms of processing and storage that require new computing focus, such as Edge Computing. This new approach to computing and operating the analytical processes on IoT data comes with great advantages, such as lower latencies in analyses, greater harnessing of resources involving cost reductions and improvements in privacy and fault tolerance. But are organisations ready for this technological leap?

During this webinar we will try to answer this question, by providing an overview of the current state and key aspects of the IOT paradigm and its complementarity with AI and Big Data. To conclude, the explanation will be illustrated by the digital transformation process through these paradigms led by CAF, one of the most successful companies in the railway sector.

TARGET AUDIENCE

  • Anyone interested in learning more about digital transformation and paradigms such as IoT and Edge Computing.

 SPEAKER

  • Josu Díaz de Arcaya, Senior Researcher on Big Data Technologies at TECNALIA.
