The society of the future is built with transport systems that are efficient, safe, sustainable and close to people.

At TECNALIA, we are proposing new mobility concepts that use new materials, integrate communications systems, alternative propulsion methods and interaction with occupants. To do so, we are working with different agents of the transport sector throughout the value chain.

Our offer is based on four technological areas::

  • E-drive Control.
    • Solutions for the control of efficient, safe and reliable eDrives.
    • Multi-domain modelling and simulation of eDrives (thermal/electrical/magnetic).
    • Highly integrated and innovative eDrives
    • Rapid prototyping of control eDrives (dSPACE, Ni, etc.)
    • Advanced "model-based" test bench for the development and calibration of control systems.
  • Multi-material Structures
    • Advanced high value-added vehicle manufacturing
    • Development of component manufacturing processes with composite materials
    • Hot stamping and hydroforming of AHSS and UHSS steel and advanced forming technologies
    • Crash tests and test benches
  • Powertrain Components
    • Reduction of raw materials and high energy efficiency processes
    • Manufacture of near-net-shape components with improved mechanical properties and metallurgical assessment
    • Advanced forging processes for powertrain and drive train components.
    • Casting processes for lightweight alloys.
    • Development and prototyping of innovative forging equipment.
