Physics of the building

Física del Edificio

We work to make buildings both comfortable and sustainable, focusing on ensuring an excellent level of thermal insulation, efficient thermal installations and based on renewable energies. We do all this to optimise the building’s control and operation systems, taking the operation and maintenance into account, along with the quality of the indoor air.

We help the construction products industry develop high performance systems by applying key technologies, such as:

  • Insulators, non-metallic materials, lightweight systems and integration of renewable installations.
  • We optimise the building’s thermal installations, in terms of both their design and their operation and maintenance.
  • We develop controllers that detect usage, forecast energy consumption and optimise the building’s response so as to save energy and reduce operating costs.
  • In our cities, we are working to facilitate the energy transition, by identifying energy resources and developing action plans tailored to the specific needs of each district.
