The 6th International Congress on Blockchain and Applications will bring together researchers and practitioners of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies (DLT).

Experts will share ideas, projects, lectures and advances associated with these technologies and their application domains. This meeting will be co-located with the PAAMS’24 conference.

TECNALIA is part of the organising committee with Óscar Lage, General Chair, together with Javier Prieto, IEEE Blockchain Spain Initiative, from the University of Salamanca. 

Blockchain for Sustainability and Industrial Resilience (BL-SDG)

TECNALIA colleagues Dr Cristina Regueiro Senderos, Iván Gutiérrez Agüero and Óscar Lage are leading the workshop called “Blockchain for Sustainability and Industrial Resilience (BL-SDG)”.

  • This workshop focuses on exploring the potential of blockchain technology to advance sustainability and industrial resilience goals.
  • It aims to understand how this technology can enhance transparency, efficiency, and accountability across various industries, including but not limited to manufacturing, logistics, smart cities and energy.
  • It will discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by blockchain technology in the context of sustainability.
  • The workshop will also consider the impact of blockchain technology on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Blockchain, with its potential to enhance transparency and efficiency, can play a crucial role in achieving these global goals. From promoting sustainable and responsible consumption and production patterns to enabling affordable and clean energy, the applications of blockchain can be transformative.
