How is this training organised?
- SCRUM theory and principles: SCRUM is not a trend, it is not project management with Sprints, it is much more than that. Knowing the theory of empirical process control is key to understanding why SCRUM works, and getting the most out of events.
- The SCRUM framework: SCRUM is not a methodology; it is a framework that must be thoroughly understood in order to define the specific processes of each team and organisation.
- The Definition of Done: the correct use of the ‘Definition of Done’ is usually the boundary between mediocre SCRUM and the SCRUM that works. It raises impediments and organisational changes that must be explained well as they are the definitive path towards agility.
- Running a SCRUM project: a project is carried out combining theory and practical team work to learn the SCRUM process; how to plan in different contexts (e.g. closed project, maintenance or internal product development), how to monitor and control development.
- Working with people and teams: a SCRUM Master is not an agile project manager. It combines coach and mentor roles to help individuals, teams and organisations improve their effectiveness, self-organisation and self-sufficiency. Motivation, communication, team dynamics or conflict resolution are key to the success of a SCRUM Master.
- SCRUM in your organisation: participants share and reflect ideas on how to carry out change management in their own organisation.
- The role of the SCRUM Master: the role of SCRUM Master is usually completely new for most organisations, making it a real challenge. Understanding this role in detail helps to both clearly establish organisational expectations and to identify the people who are closest to the role of SCRUM Master.
