The Circular Economy is the driving force behind the transition towards sustainable production and consumption models for our society and our planet.

It is based on decoupling economic growth and the consumption of finite resources, producing goods and services in a sustainable way by limiting the consumption of resources and the generation and disposal of waste. The aim is to transform a linear disposable consumption model into circular models that respond to today's environmental, economic and social challenges.

Some of the aspects contemplated in the circular economy are the reduction of environmental impact, conservation of natural resources, durability, life cycle extension, reusability, recyclability, eco-design, waste reduction and recovery, sustainable materials, new construction systems, new business models, and economic development.

They affect the entire life cycle of processes, a sector that accounts for around 12.5% of Spain's GDP, involving more than 1.3 million people.

Meeting point for professionals and experts

  • This conference aims to promote a meeting point in which professionals and experts from the construction world can exchange ideas and discuss new technologies, opportunities and challenges associated with the circular economy.
  • The latest developments in technologies, recovery and management processes, regulations, digital developments, materials, business models, etc. will be addressed, as well as the new opportunities associated with the circular economy and sustainability.
  • During the event, several companies from the sector will explain their strategy and the initiatives and technological developments they have implemented to promote the Circular Economy in their companies.

Target Audience

  • The event is aimed at professionals from the entire construction value chain: from design, manufacture of materials, transport, final commissioning, operation and maintenance, to the end of life of buildings and infrastructures, reuse, waste management and recovery.
