We value TECNALIA’s investment in R&D and Innovation, identifying and managing business opportunities based on sophisticated technologies (deeptech), through a venture building process.

To do so, we connect the three main pillars of any innovation eco-system:

  • Managers capable of transforming technological ideas into business opportunities  (management).
  • Investors who support deeptech entrepreneurial initiatives (money).

As a result of this, TECNALIA obtained income of €7.2 million from the Sale of Industrial Property, which is a 5.3% of the total turnover (137 million euros)

TECNALIA’s deeptech startup H2SITE succeeds in producing hydrogen from ammoniaTECNALIA’s deeptech startup H2SITE has managed to develop the first hydrogen production system from ammonia on board a ship using membrane reactor technology. As a solution to the challenge of decarbonising maritime transport, this new initiative helps to further scale up its integrated membrane reactor technology.

Ingredalia increased sales by 150% in 2023Ingredalia, a deeptech startup in which TECNALIA has a stake, increased its sales by 150% in 2023 with a production of 100 kg of by-products of broccoli. It has also obtained the internationalisation certificate to export to the United States and other European countries such as Germany, France and the United Kingdom, after being awarded IFS quality.
