The participation of Basque companies and organisations in the R&D projects promoted by the European Union has been significant and relevant over the years.
The Basque Country is a cutting edge community in the award of funds. However, on numerous occasions, the know-how acquired in these projects, many of which have been developed by major, value-added international consortiums is lost upon their completion, and major collaboration potential between Basque stakeholders is wasted.
