Science Industry
On 3rd and 4th December, Madrid will host the first edition of the Big Science Industry Forum Spain (BSIF S2025), the national forum that connects the Science Industry with major international scientific infrastructures. The event, organised by CDTI Innovación, INEUSTAR and the INDUCIENCIA platform, will be held at IFEMA and will bring together Spanish companies, technology centres, research organisations and Unique Scientific and Technical Infrastructures(ICTS) to foster collaboration and generate opportunities in strategic projects, such as ITER, CERN, ESO and IFMIF-DONES.
Our proposal at BSIFS 2025
TECNALIA will be present at the Induciencia Space, showcasing essential technological solutions for components subjected to extreme conditions in large scientific facilities and remote handling support tasks.
In the section on demonstrators, we will present examples that reflect our experience in:
- Surface treatment processes for high temperature protection.
- Advanced joints for dissimilar materials.
- Wet and dry coatings for increased strength and durability.
Furthermore, we will present "Advanced solutions for remote handling in fusion environments ensuring safety and operational efficiency” in the poster area, which integrate mechatronic design, control and automation and remote operation.
Our role in the science industry
TECNALIA is a key player in the Science Industry ecosystem. As a technology centre, we contribute to the development of technologies that will make nuclear fusion possible, namely a clean and safe energy source for the future.
Our participation at BSIFS2025 strengthens our commitment to innovation and technology transfer, connecting science and industry to meet the most demanding challenges.
