Creativity World Forum 2024: Innovation in Culture and Creativity

The Basque Country is hosting the World Creativity Forum (CWF24), an event that is embedded in the culture and creativity of three Basque capitals: Bilbao, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Donostia/San Sebastián. This forum, a hallmark of the Districts of Creativity (DC) Network, invites visionary individuals from around the world to engage in conversations on the link between creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship.

  • The World Creativity Forum is organised annually to discuss entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation. Government leaders, entrepreneurs, creative professionals, artists and policymakers gather to share ideas on how to turn their regions into hubs of innovation and creativity.
  • This Forum is as a platform to exchange ideas, foster collaboration and inspire people to think creatively to address challenges and drive positive change.

Innovation in cultural and creative industries

One of the aims of this forum is to foster cross-innovation and the adoption of technology to flourish disruptions and make the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) a catalyst for solutions helping the transition to a greener, more sustainable future with societal impact.

  • TECNALIA coordinates Thematic Area 2: Innovation in the sector as well as one of the global challenges that will revolve around the digital transition of the CCIs.
  • On the third day of the congress, there will be a workshop on innovation, which will be coordinated together with Innobasque.
  • Within the CCI sectors, the keynote speaker will be Jenny Kornmacher, developer of cultural and creative industries and international relations at Region Skåne and Interim Director of Innovation at EIT Culture & Creativity
