    Material surfaces and coatings deposited on them define the performance of objects around us to a large extent. Surface engineering, as a global discipline, focuses on the study and modification of surfaces to generate new surface properties and hence allow for new applications and components.

    CONTENT

    • We will find out about high-speed processes, characterised by the use of supersonic gaseous flows to accelerate and spray the particles at high speed with a moderate heat input. This combination gives rise to layers with excellent density, cohesion and adherence characteristics, which is reflected in outstanding functional properties of high quality.
    • We will present some of the benchmark industrial techniques, such as HVOF, HVAF, D-Gun and Cold Spray.
    • We will reveal the technologies developed by TECNALIA, such as HFPD detonation and HVOAF.
