The quantum revolution is moving towards industry

The second quantum revolution is already underway and marks a turning point that can be compared to the invention of the transistor. We will look at how quantum computing, quantum cryptography and quantum sensors are no longer just a theory and are being applied in real life. This talk will show professionals and organisations a technological change that affects sectors such as defence, health, energy and artificial intelligence.

Europe is promoting initiatives such as Quantum Flagship and the European Quantum Strategy, which reinforce the need for leadership in a key technology for competitiveness and technological sovereignty. The transformation is no longer about whether this technology will work, but when it will be implemented and who will lead it.

    An applied view from research

The session will be given by our colleague Guillermo Gil Aguirrebeitia, member of the Quantum Technologies team.

    • His talk offers a practical insight into how quantum technologies are evolving from the laboratory to their adoption in industry. It will give examples, prototypes and case studies that show its real impact.

Sectors already going through the quantum transition

The talk will look at how this technology is transforming key areas:

    • Defence
    • Health
    • energy
    • Artificial Intelligence

This perspective will help attendees understand the transformative potential of this technology and the opportunities it offers for companies seeking to anticipate a global context with extraordinary investments.

An event for professionals looking towards the future

This talk is aimed at professionals, companies and institutions who want to know where quantum technology is heading and how they can prepare for this transition. We work to share knowledge, spot opportunities and strengthen the scientific-technological ecosystem.
