Social Innovation: one idea, many paths
The webinar is organised as part of the EU-LAC Social Accelerator project, and is designed to strengthen social innovation ecosystems in Latin America and the Caribbean. We will provide a practical and comprehensive overview of the concept of social innovation and its development across Europe, with a particular focus on National Centres of Excellence.
This global framework will act as a bridge to the Latin American perspective, working with catalytic-A, where we will analyse the current changes taking place in the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region and the diversity of its ecosystems, among other issues.
Who is it aimed at?
This space is designed for the drivers of change and key players in the innovation ecosystem:
- Members of social innovation ecosystems in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Stakeholders in the European social innovation ecosystem.
- Representatives of public and private organisations with an interest in this subject.
What will you learn from this webinar?
Participants will be able to make use of the dynamic three-part structure to:
- Understand the key concepts and ingredients required to drive social innovation from an ecosystem perspective, with a particular focus on National Centres of Excellence. You will be guided by our colleague Dr Raúl Tabarés Gutiérrez.
- Gain first-hand insight into the reality of various social innovation ecosystems in Latin America and the Caribbean, and learn about the lessons learnt from professional practice, along with some practical tools, guided by Bruno Ayllón from catalytic-A.
- Take part in a group dynamic to share experiences, identify strengths and build on shared capabilities in social innovation ecosystems.
