TECNALIA takes part in “Deep-Tech Entrepreneurship in Spain”
Alex Belaustegi, on behalf of Ingeteam, was unanimously elected Chairman of TECNALIA by the Board of Trustees at the meeting held today at the Bizkaia Science and Technology Park
Belaustegi, who has been the Vicechairman of the centre since 2016, accepted the position for the next four years and thus takes over for Emiliano López Atxurra at the end of his tenure.
In the words of Belaustegi upon his appointment, “at Ingeteam we joyfully and responsibly accept the presidency of TECNALIA. We have a great challenge ahead of us: to contribute to the technological and industrial development of our Country at a time of great complexity for all. It’s time for TECNALIA to join forces and provide solutions to the problems that our businesses face and, above all, to continue using investment in R&D and innovation as a lever in order to sustainably transform it into GDP growth within our Society.”
As an Industrial Electrical Engineer with an International MBA, he developed his professional career at EVE (Basque Energy Agency) and at SENER engineering. He is the current Corporate Development Director at Ingeteam, which he joined in 2002 as Presidency Staff and as a Member of the R&D Committee at Ingeteam Group. In 2004, he undertook tasks as Product Technical Manager for the wind energy sector at Indar Electric, and ultimately, became the CEO of the Indar Head Division within the group.
