Formula Student Bilbao Team ranked in the top 10 thanks to its single-seater

This year’s edition of Formula Student United Kingdom has consolidated the team from the Faculty of Engineering in Bilbao in the Top 10 of the competition thanks to one of its single-seaters, and its organisation and planning skills to work in the adverse circumstances as a result of the pandemic.

The team of 66 students obtained sixth place in the overall classification of a virtual race in which 85 universities from all over the world participated, thus ensuring an invitation for the next edition of this event.

The Basque team has revalidated its Top 10 position for the second year in a row, even doing better than last year.

FSB2021: the most technologically ambitious vehicle

FSB2021 is FSBizkaia’s most technologically ambitious vehicle thanks to a new in-wheel engine concept. It will be ready to start its production from September.

At TECNALIA, we continue to provide technological support and guidance to Formula Student, validating the engines that are incorporated in the vehicle, evaluating the power of the engine, its efficiency curves, the refrigeration system, as well as working on the preparation of the necessary tools for use on the test bench in real-time validation.
