Our industrial Blockchain Laboratory awarded for its cybersecurity research

The Spanish Technological Platform for Industrial Safety (PESI) granted the S2R Forum-2018 Awards at the Safety and Security Research Congress

During the PESI S2R Forum Closing Ceremony, four awards and four accesits were awarded to companies and institutions that have stood out in technological innovation and development in the different fields of safety, prevention and security.

The Congress Experts committee was tasked with handing over the prizes and presented our Industrial Blockchain Laboratory with the S2R-2018 technological innovation award called the ‘Cybersecurity Research’.

The award was accepted by our colleague Ana Ayerbe. She is the head of our research team working to help companies in their software development processes from an architectural, security and cybersecurity perspective.

When accepting the award, Ana highlighted ‘the disruptive role of Blockchain technology and its capacity to ensure Cybersecurity starting at system design’. She also drew attention to our Industrial Blockchain Laboratory facilities, which are groundbreaking in Europe and allow companies to: know about success stories, gain experience and test technological solutions and business models for their subsequent implementation.

Ana has actively contributed to the ECSO SRIA , she has been a member of the "Advisory Group of Secure Societies" in H2020 and is currently a member of the eSEC and RENIC boards of directors.
