FENIN and SEIB sign a collaboration agreement to promote innovative activities in healthcare technology

SEIB is made up of the main Spanish research groups working on bioinstrumentation and biosensors, biomedical signal processing, medical imaging, telemedicine and clinical information systems, modelling of biological systems, bioinformatics, biomechanics, biorobotics, biomaterials and tissue engineering, artificial intelligence, together with other partners from health and business entities.

SEIB's main objectives are focused on four areas of action: boosting Biomedical Engineering, through the promotion of education in that field (degrees, master's degrees, PhD, etc.), and encouraging relationships with industry in this sector and its organisations, as well as relationships through collaboration with other international technical and medical companies; giving help to partners, and internal management of the organisation.

38th Annual Conference of the Spanish Society of Biomedical Engineering

CASEIB 2020 is the benchmark national forum for exchanging knowledge and experiences and promoting R&D and innovation in Biomedical Engineering: it addresses medical problems with a high social impact.

The General Assembly of the Society coincides with this conference, featuring thematic sessions on Biomedical Engineering and providing a meeting point for researchers.

Collaboration agreement

On November 25, 2020, the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (FENIN) and SEIB signed a five-year collaboration agreement to encourage activities that promote innovation in healthcare technology.

Both entities have agreed to carry out activities of common interest: sectoral collaborations to leverage R&D and innovation capabilities; holding match-making events; and finally, carrying out R&D and innovation projects in the context of the Next Generation EU programme.
