TECNALIA will develop systems that have controllers based on sensorics information. Their mission is for the new collaborative robots to be resistant to failures and to learn the tasks related to the manipulation of medical products, based on demonstrations by a human operator.
At present, manual procedures are still being used in the creation of new healthcare products. This is due to the fact that regulations require a systematic verification of the completion of each task, which is known as traceability.
In the TRACEBOT initiative, we will address the processes related to medical attention and to processes from membrane-based sterility tests. We will create robotic systems capable of understanding what they perceive and do, to ensure that any manipulation action is verified, satisfying the needs of the regulated environment.
