    Electrospinning: technology used in the manufacture of filter systems

    We develop high-efficiency, low-pressure drop filtering solutions with antibacterial properties and great potential for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and PPE systems.

    We have polymeric nanofibres with molecular pore sizes capable of withholding compounds up to the size of viruses, bacteria etc. These nanofibres can be functionalised to provide antibacterial properties for removing these micro-organisms..

    We also work with carbon nanofibres for manufacturing gas adsorption filters in respiratory protection equipment, and with luminescent nanofibres sensitive enough to identify biological threats or gaseous chemical substances for use as sensors and/or dosimeters.
