Artificial intelligence is transforming the healthcare sector and opening up new opportunities to accelerate biomedical research, optimising the development of new drugs and moving towards increasingly personalised medicines
We will be taking part in the TertulIA_UAM event: "AI in the discovery, development and personalised use of medicines", organised by the Foundation of the Autonomous University of Madrid (FUAM) and Madrid Network as part of the InnoUAMos series.
The event will bring together researchers, companies, public authorities and healthcare professionals to analyse how artificial intelligence is driving innovation in the pharmaceutical industry and the healthcare system, creating new opportunities for collaboration between the scientific community and the business sector.
Miguel Esteras will be the keynote speaker at the opening conference
Our colleague, Miguel Esteras, researcher in applied AI, will deliver the keynote speech on “Programmable Biology: Challenges and opportunities for the pharmaceutical sector”.
- During his speech, he will discuss the potential of artificial intelligence to accelerate the discovery of new therapies, improve pharmaceutical development processes and contribute to more efficient and personalised medicine.
- He will also take part in the round-table discussion alongside experts from the Autonomous University of Madrid and representatives from the fields of pharmacology and biomedical research, in a debate focusing on the scientific, technological, regulatory and ethical challenges posed by the integration of AI into the sector.
Alberto Manuel Borobia Pérez, Francisco Abad Santos and Daniel Ramos Castro will participate in the session , which will be moderated by Gema Sanz Sanz, Director of Business Development and Institutional Relations at Madrid Network.
