TECNALIA will take part in the European Hydrogen Congress EHEC 2026
TECNALIA will be at the European Hydrogen Energy Conference (EHEC) 2026, on 11-13 March in Seville. The event is one of the leading European conferences on renewable hydrogen, offering several presentations focusing on electrolysis, hydrogen infrastructures and advanced safety.
TECNALIA’s participation strengthens its position as a benchmark technology centre for hydrogen R&D&I, covering everything from the production of green hydrogen to installation safety, combining experimentation, advanced modelling and digital technologies.
Some of the presentations include the following themes:
Electrolysis and green hydrogen production
- Daniela Minudri, TECNALIA Hydrogen Technologies: development of innovative AEM electrolysis components to produce green hydrogen using wind power, with a focus on industrialisation, efficiency and cost reduction.
- Dr Iñigo Ortega, TECNALIA Hydrogen Technologies: technical challenges and first results obtained in the design, commissioning and operation of a 60 kW AEL and AEM electrolysis test bench.
Hydrogen infrastructure and refuelling
- Dr Iñigo Ortega, TECNALIA Hydrogen Technologies: integrated approach combining techno-economic and safety analysis to optimise hydrogen refuelling stations and facilitate their large-scale deployment.
Hydrogen safety, advanced detection
- Alain Villanueva, TECNALIA Hydrogen Safety: comparative assessment of safety distance criteria in hydrogen facilities, analysing key international standards and their impact on safe design.
- Alain Villanueva, TECNALIA Hydrogen Safety: integration of CFD simulation, deep learning and evolutionary algorithms to improve smart hydrogen leak detection and enhance operational safety.
