EMBC 2025: driving innovation in bioengineering and health care
TECNALIA is participating in the 47th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, an event organised by the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS).
This conference will bring together more than 10,000 professionals from 97 countries in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 14th-17th July to drive the transformation of healthcare through innovation, artificial intelligence and technology integration.
- It has established itself as a leading international forum for knowledge transfer between researchers, professionals and students in the field of bioengineering.
- The overarching theme of the conference, "Engineering Medicine, Innovation in Healthcare" fosters interdisciplinary collaboration between academics, clinicians, professionals from the industry and students, in order to explore new ways of working that will drive transformative advances in the provision of healthcare and patient outcomes.
- Its focus is on the dynamic convergence between clinical practice, technology and artificial intelligence, promoting innovation as a driver of the health transformation. Through this convergence, the conference seeks to foster entrepreneurship and the translation of solutions into reality, integrating technical, clinical and business knowledge to address current challenges facing the health sector.

Cutting edge mini-symposium
In this edition, TECNALIA is leading and coordinating the mini-symposium entitled "Novel Human-Machine Interfaces based on High-Density Wearable Electronics".
Our colleague, Joseph McIntyre will lead the session, in which recent advances in high-density portable electronics that offer opportunities for novel human-machine interfaces based on interaction with the human nervous system will be shared and explored.
What will you find at our stand?
At our STAND 009, you will find out how our innovative technological solutions, designed to transform the healthcare sector, are applied in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.
- We will present our range of innovative bioelectronic devices, created to improve health, well-being and efficiency in healthcare.
- You will also find our modular, non-invasive and multi-channel CLASS+ bioelectronic platform for interaction with the nervous system (stimulation and/or recording); patches for physiological and real-time monitoring of different biomarkers present in sweat and interstitial fluid; point-of-care for the non-invasive and immediate diagnosis of different pathologies in samples of saliva, blood, plasma, urine, etc.
Personalised experience
You will also be able to design a bioelectronic device by adapting the modules of our CLASS+ technology to your specific needs.
