AMALTEA project funding for SMEs in design, robotics, AI and automation
AMALTEA integrates robotics, AI and data in the construction sector to reduce energy consumption, resource use and waste in buildings.
The value chain for façades is extremely complex and fragmented, with manual processes, high costs in terms of time and energy, and inefficient material management, leading to high levels of waste.
The AMALTEA research project (under the Horizon Europe programme) coordinated by TECNALIA tackles these challenges by integrating advanced technologies; AI to optimise design, digital twins to monitor life cycles, collaborative robotics for manufacturing and installation, and smart sensors for traceability in a unique, scalable ecosystem. This reduces the carbon footprint, speeds up delivery times and improves onsite accuracy and safety, in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal.
25 SMEs and start-ups from all over Europe
Thanks to two cascade funding calls (software and hardware), the AMALTEA project will select up to 25 SMEs and start-ups from all over Europe, with grants of €100,000 for digital solutions, and €200,000 for robotic devices and advanced sensor systems. Beneficiaries will receive a comprehensive support programme that includes:
- Technical and business mentoring by experts from TECNALIA, LORTEK, Siemens, Acciona, Züblin and other industrial partners.
- Validation in four real pilot projects (design, manufacturing, installation and recycling) to ensure feasibility in production environments.
- Access to the AMALTEA network: direct collaboration with industry leaders and opportunities for internationalisation.
On May 28, between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm CEST, at the SPRI Auditorium (Edificio Plaza Bizkaia, Bilbao), Basque SMEs will be able to learn first-hand about the details of this funding.
What will you find at the fifth conference on the internationalisation of R&D&I?
- A detailed presentation on the objectives, challenges and technologies that AMALTEA is seeking to promote.
- An explanation of the application process, time frames and evaluation criteria for the first Open Call.
- Bilateral meetings with the AMALTEA coordinator: you will be able to get answers to any questions you may have about technical challenges, requirements for pilot projects and how to tailor your proposal to maximise impact.
