In this conference, we will present innovative and efficient solutions based on high temperature heat pumps for the decarbonisation of industrial processes.
The vision of a decarbonised Europe contrasts with today’s heat supply in Europe. A quarter of the total final energy consumption in the EU is in industry and more than 80% of this is consumed in heat and cooling supply. Moreover, most of this demand is covered by non-renewable energy sources.
Faced with this situation, heat pumps are emerging as a technically and economically viable alternative that increases industrial energy efficiency. However, the higher the temperatures required in the industrial process, the fewer solutions are available on the market.
Technological solutions for industrial decarbonisation
TECNALIA has extensive experience in designing and optimising thermal equipment for industry. In recent years, we have been working on various technological solutions such as:
- High temperature heat pumps (HTHP)
- Absorption heat transformers (AHT)
- Heat storage systems as a flexibility mechanism
- Steam generation solutions
Within the framework of the Push2Heat initiative, we are developing heat recovery technologies for industry with heat demands up to 160°C, such as food, paper, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
The entire heat pump value chain
- This conference will cover the entire industrial heat pump value chain, from the manufacturer, installation and maintenance to the end user.
- New technological solutions will be addressed from a technical and business point of view.
- Furthermore, real solutions installed in the chemical and paper sectors will be presented.
Who is this event aimed at?
- Manufacturers of heat pump equipment
- Engineering Firms
- ESCOs
- Industry with processes up to 200°C (food and beverages, paper, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, etc.)
- Public and institutional actors and associations
