Changes in the regulatory framework for packaging call for new solutions
We are holding Empack and Logistics & Automation Bilbao, which brings together the packaging, logistics and transport sectors for the first time in the north of Spain.
- Packnet (the Spanish Packaging Technology Platform) is organising the round table on "Keys to packaging circularity: challenges and opportunities for technological innovation".
- Inés Alonso, Circularity Market Manager at TECNALIA, will participate in this round table and will share the latest advances in technological innovation focused on packaging.
- New legislation and regulations (e.g. the Law on Waste and Contaminated Soil for a Circular Economy) are shaping the next steps for the packaging industry.
- This new regulatory framework aims to move towards the objectives of the European Union in terms of circular economy and the fight against climate change, contributing to the fulfilment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Circular economy at TECNALIA
TECNALIA will support the industrial sector and public institutions in implementing a sustainable economic development model. A Circular Economy model that introduces circularity into production systems, optimises the use of raw materials, materials, products/services and energy and reduces the generation of waste to a minimum.
In this way, it contributes to increasing the competitiveness of companies and the generation of new economic activities based on the "Green Economy".
