Floating Offshore Wind Technical Symposium (FOWTEC) 2024: the offshore wind energy event in Getxo

The Floating Offshore Wind Technical Symposium (FOWTEC) 2024 is a scientific event that will take place at Getxo Marina on April 22, 2024. This symposium will bring together experts, innovators and stakeholders from the floating offshore wind industry to discuss developments, share knowledge and explore the future of this renewable energy sector.

The event's agenda will take an in-depth look at a wide range of technical topics covering the entire floating platform design cycle.

Visit BIMEP

At the end of the event there will be a visit to BiMEP (Biscay Marine Energy Platform), an infrastructure in real sea conditions designed to research, demonstrate and exploit marine energy harvesting devices.

This visit will provide an opportunity to learn more about these two projects:

• DemoSATH: a full-scale prototype of a 2 MW wind turbine.
• HarshLab: an advanced floating laboratory for validating and testing materials, components and equipment in a real marine environment.
