Presentation of the BSC AI Factory Sectoral Hubs

Workshop: Boosting the adoption of AI in strategic sectors

How can your company take advantage of artificial intelligence to innovate, improve processes and increase competitiveness? What opportunities does sectoral collaboration offer to access advanced computing, expert knowledge and validation of sustainable, affordable and transformative AI solutions?

In this workshop we will present the BSC AI FactorySectoral Hubs, a project driven by the BSC-CNS, which explores, validates and implements innovative AI solutions applied to critical industrial sectors in the Spanish economy, through the sectoral hubs.

The workshop will explain how these hubs or sectoral collaboration spaces work and present the main activities scheduled, such as the development of sectoral AI solutions, workshops and networking sessions between agents of the AI ecosystem, as well as training sessions.

In the second part of the workshop, participants will be able to attend parallel sessions focused on identifying the main sectoral challenges that can be addressed with AI technologies in different fields:

• Health, pharma and biotech
• Agriculture, climate and the blue economy
• Energy
• Finance and legal
• Communication and media

These sessions will enable us to delve deeper into the particular challenges and opportunities of AI in each sector and to prioritise the most relevant ones to the sector.

• Companies and organisations interested in exploring innovative and practical applications of artificial intelligence in their sector.
• SMEs seeking support to initiate or accelerate AI adoption processes.
• Start-ups specialised in AI technology looking to validate solutions in real environments.
• Clusters and sectoral associations that convey the main challenges and AI needs in one of the sectors of the hubs.
• Large companies willing to collaborate in identifying applied AI innovation challenges.
• Innovation, technology or digital transformation managers.
• AI and data managers.

The BSC AI Factory is an initiative driven by the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre-National Supercomputing Centre (BSC-CNS), aimed at accelerating the adoption of AI solutions in strategic industrial sectors. Through its sectoral hubs, it acts as a space for collaboration between SMEs, start-ups, associations, clusters and technology centres, facilitating shared access to advanced infrastructures, data, models, expert knowledge and specialised talent.
