Discover the keys to drive the digital transformation of the healthcare sector
On 28 April, we will bring companies, healthcare professionals and key players in the healthcare ecosystem together in Madrid to present the new Digital Health eBook; a working document that sets out the main challenges, opportunities and lines of innovation identified at the “Innovation and Technology in Healthcare Conference" held in Madrid in 2025.
In recent months, the TECNALIA team has been working on systematising the conclusions drawn from that event, integrating emerging trends, use cases and contributions by leading organisations in the sector and professionals, such as Julio Mayol (Scientific Director of IdISSC); Pedro Carrascal (Patient Organisations Platform); Izabel Alfany (CEO EIT Health Spain); Roberto Bilbao (BIOEF); María Luaces (San Carlos Clinical Hospital); Javier Elola, Mª Luz López-Carrasco and Ignacio Ayerdi (IMAS Foundation); Pablo Díez Villanueva (La Princesa University Hospital); Julián Pérez Villacastín (San Carlos Clinical Hospital); Ion Arocena (ASEBIO) and Pablo Crespo (FENIN).
The result is an eBook designed to serve as a strategic and practical guide to the current challenges of the digital transformation of healthcare. It also features the expert insight of our team of researchers.
A space to share vision and build the future
The event on 28 April, which will be held at 11am at the Only YOU Boutique Hotel (Barquillo 21, Madrid), will be a dynamic and participative space in which attendees will be able to:
- Discover first-hand the conclusions of the new Digital Health eBook, which focuses on the adoption of technology, improving healthcare processes and the role of innovation in the sustainability of the system.
- Discuss current challenges in the sector, from clinical data integration to smart automation, cybersecurity and the data space.
- Share real experiences of digital transformation with public and private actors.
- Explore opportunities for collaboration with TECNALIA and other key players in the healthcare ecosystem.
A roadmap to foster more connected health
"Digital health is not an option; it is the inevitable path to a more efficient, equitable and people-focused healthcare system". This is what Sergio Muñoz, Head of Digital Health and Emerging Technologies at TECNALIA, says in this new eBook.
The new paradigm involves integrating new processes with technologies such as AI, IoMT, robotics or bioengineering, which enable us to anticipate risks and personalise treatments. Value-based digital health will be the compass guiding this evolution.
With this initiative, TECNALIA reaffirms its commitment to work with organisations, professionals and administrations to advance towards more efficient, personalised and sustainable health, based on the transforming power of technology.
The future is not something to wait for. It is designed. TECNALIA has already started to design it. Will you join us?
