Steel aggregate is an alternative to conventional aggregates used in construction and contributes to the sustainable use of natural resources and the circular economy
Since Law 10/2021 on Environmental Administration in the Basque Country came into force, construction sites must used at least 40% of recycled materials (Art. 84). In this sense, when properly processed, steel aggregate is a good alternative to conventional quarry aggregate for certain construction projects, as it contributes to the circularity of recycled mineral resources.
- This monographic conference organised by Grupo Campezo and GZS will be attended by experts from different fields to present the legal framework of steel aggregate in the Basque Country, its production, characteristics, applications and trends, as well as various success stories in construction.
- Iñigo Vegas, Director of Construction Materials and Products at TECNALIA, will talk about structures built with concrete made from steel aggregate in the Basque Country.
