The Grenfell Tower fire sparked a debate at European level on passive fire protection regulations and, more specifically, on façade insulation. This debate is still ongoing today. Given its complexity, it needs to be approached from different disciplines and sensitivities.

The Association of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia has prepared a study on the problems generated by the spread of fires in building façades: a technical document that coordinates the work and knowledge of a good number of experts in the field.

The presentation session includes participation from first level professionals who will offer an overview on different aspects of interest.

A copy of the executive summary will be provided to the attendees.

    Aimed at:

    • Design engineers in the field of construction and installations
    • Engineers working in building maintenance
    • Other professionals who may be interested in knowing the problem of the spread of fires in building façades
