Secure and decentralised models for digital identity management

In this webinar, we will present an initiative that drives new ways of managing digital identity, designed to reinforce people's control over their data in connected services and devices.
The Digital Wallet initiative, led by a consortium made up of Inetum, the University of Salamanca, TECNALIA, Izertis, Gradiant, Byron Labs and Humaind, is supported by the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE).

We foster new ways of managing digital identity

The use of digital services and interconnected devices is growing steadily, and with it the need to protect personal data.

    • Digital Wallet proposes a more secure, autonomous identity model adapted to the existing demands of a constantly evolving digital environment.
    • During the webinar, the participating entities will analyse how the digital identity is strengthened through decentralised technologies and blockchain, capable of increasing privacy, trust and security in the handling of digital credentials.
    • This initiative is part of the line of work of Alastria, aimed at promoting innovation in digital identity and highlighting projects and models that foster self-managed identity approach.

Key challenges in decentralised digital identity

The Digital Wallet addresses three key challenges:

    • Evolution of decentralised models enabling greater interoperability between services.
    • Integration of digital wallets in IoT environments, where authentication requires robust mechanisms.
    • Development of advanced security capabilities to reinforce the protection of personal data.

These developments are presented through application cases targeting technical profiles, digital businesses and public administrations working with connected services and sensitive data.

TECNALIA's contribution to privacy and cybersecurity

TECNALIA develops digital transformation solutions that increase the efficiency of processes and reinforce security in increasingly interconnected environments.

    • Our expertise covers blockchain, self-managed identity, advanced verification and technologies that ensure privacy and trust.
    • In the webinar, our colleague, Nagore Brazal, will present TECNALIA's contribution to the design and validation of the digital wallet, as well as the opportunities that this technology opens up for organisations interested in increasing the autonomy, security and privacy of their digital services.
    • Book your place and find out how we are moving towards a more secure and people-focused digital identity model.
