The European Technical Assessment (ETA), formerly known as European Technical Approval, is a document that provides information regarding the assessment of the essential characteristics of a construction product, in accordance with its corresponding European Assessment Document.
The European Technical Assessment (ETA)includes the characteristics to be declared by a manufacturer in the CE marking of the construction product for its intended purpose, as well as the technical details required for the application of the Assessment and Verification of Constancy of Performance (AVCP).
A European Technical Assessment is valid in all EU Member States and those of the European Economic Area, as well as in Switzerland. It creates greater confidence in the assessment of the product features and allows the free movement of construction products, contributing to the Single European Market.
