New manufacturing technologies for integrated photovoltaics and high-performance composite materials
Cannon and TECNALIA are strengthening their strategic collaboration to develop new manufacturing technologies for integrated photovoltaics and high-performance composite materials. This alliance aims to accelerate the industrial application of more sustainable energy and mobility solutions.
In this context, TECNALIA is taking part in the European project Seamless-PV, which aims to promote integrated photovoltaics (IPV) .
- This technology allows solar systems to be incorporated into buildings, infrastructure, electric vehicles agricultural environments, combining structural functions with electricity generation.
The project also explores the potential of new materials
Materials such as anionic polyamide 6 (aPA6), an advanced thermoplastic, facilitate manufacturing of lightweight and strong components using glass or carbon fibre impregnation processes. These properties open up new possibilities in automotive applications and in the manufacture of pressure vessels for advanced energy solutions.
- To support this line of research, Cannon has supplied TECNALIA with several highly specialised dosing and mixing systems, designed for laboratory and industrial development environments.
- These teams will optimise manufacturing processes and move forward in the development of new materials and key components for the next generation of sustainable mobility and energy solutions.
