“This infrastructure meets the needs of electronics manufacturers in the field of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)”

Key infrastructure for developing and validating electronic equipment

We have completed the renovation of our semi-anechoic chamber in the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) laboratory in Derio, a key infrastructure for developing safe electronic equipment, which is sustainable and complies with with international standards.

The chamber was opened in 2000 and has since undergone a major technical upgrade, including a new, state-of-the-art radiofrequency-absorbing coating. This technological advance allows us to carry out EMC tests up to 6 GHz in a shielded, interference-free environment, thereby ensuring optimal conditions for validating electronic products prior to their launch.

Ensuring regulatory compliance and device reliability

The renovated infrastructure provides a controlled environment in which real-world scenarios can be simulated, making it possible to evaluate the electromagnetic behaviour of equipment under real-world operating conditions.

This environment is essential for ensuring regulatory compliance, improving device reliability and contributing to the sustainability and safety of products on the market.

TECNALIA offers a wide range of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) services

The renovation is part of the wide range of EMC services offered by TECNALIA, which also includes several Faraday cages for carrying out tests in accordance with a whole host of international standards.

This facility can be used to test electronic devices for a number of different sectors, with a particular focus on the energy sector, where new testing capabilities have been installed, such as the fast damped oscillatory wave test, a key requirement for equipment used in this field.

Support of experts to meet the most demanding standards

We have benefited from the support of experts and key partners in the sector to carry out the renovation of our electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing facilities.

Wavecontrol and GR EMC SOLUTIONS have contributed their expertise in EMC installations and the provision of testing solutions, while ETS-Lindgren, the manufacturer of TECNALIA's semi-anechoic chamber, and Seibersdorf Laboratories, and Seibersdorf Laboratories, a specialist in the technical validation of complex environments, have been involved in designing, implementing and officially validating the solution. Their collaboration has ensured quality, precision and compliance with the most stringent standards.

Meeting the needs of electronic equipment manufacturers

TECNALIA is entering a new phase of innovation and service thanks to this renovated infrastructure. We now have state-of-the-art technology to meet the needs of industry and electronic equipment manufacturers, and can provide them with a reliable, accurate and highly specialised testing environment.
