El acuerdo firmado entre TECNALIA e INTERTEK permitirá a los fabricantes de productos de construcción el acceso al mercado internacional

TECNALIA will be able to issue the CE marking in accordance with the Construction Products Regulation, and help obtain the UK Conformity Assessment mark for marketing products in Great Britain.

The collaboration agreement signed between the multinational leader in the inspection and certification sector, INTERTEK, and the TECNALIA technology centre will allow construction product manufacturers to access global markets (USA, Middle East and Latam, among others) that recognise the Intertek Certification mark, without personnel and materials having to travel long distances to carry out the necessary tests.

This process will reduce the carbon footprint of manufacturers. The development of new products will be a more efficient and sustainable process, in line with current trends. Tests will be able to be carried out at TECNALIA facilities: TECNALIA will facilitate the process of accessing new markets, and will significantly reduce product lead times.

Thanks to this agreement for the European market, TECNALIA will be able to issue the CE marking in accordance with Construction Products Regulation (EU) 305/2011, and obtain the recently created UKCA mark (UK Conformity Assessment) mark for marketing construction products in Great Britain, which will be compulsory from January 1, 2022, in a simultaneous and coordinated manner, thereby reducing time and costs.

Additional services

TECNALIA's customers will have the support of Intertek, which has a presence in more than 100 countries, to make it easier to launch their products in new markets, and they will be able access TECNALIA's global network of certified companies.

Likewise, TECNALIA, as a Technical Assessment Body and member of the European Organisation for Technical Assessment (EOTA), offers construction product manufacturers innovative products not covered by harmonised standards and the possibility of obtaining European Technical Assessments (ETA) and their CE marking.
