This Hackathon is about solving a real challenge in tourism: raising awareness of the travel footprint and transforming it into a positive one.
- The challenge is to provide solutions and assistance to the traveller by promoting good practices, the use of less polluting transport, the choice of accommodation and services with approved certifications or which carry out good practices in terms of their impact on the environment.
- Travellers must also enjoy the resources and carry out their activities with respect for the inhabitants and the cultural and natural environment, and even reduce their carbon footprint.
Boosting entrepreneurship
Gipuzkoa Provincial Council is holding this event to promote entrepreneurship and the creation of technology-based projects that favour tourism committed to sustainability, the territory and innovation.
