TECNALIA involved in three workshops at ERF 2026 demonstrating advances in robotics applied to agriculture and human-robot interaction
TECNALIA will take part in three workshops at the European Robotics Forum (ERF) 2026, one of Europe's leading events on robotics and autonomous systems. Leire Bastida will contribute by presenting her experience and the results of the AgRimate and FORTIS projects, which focus on developing robust, safe, real-world robotic solutions for agriculture and industry.
WS#1 Advanced robotics, sensor systems and digital twins for sustainable agriculture
TECNALIA will present developments aimed at improving efficiency and sustainability in the agricultural sector:
- New perception systems for dynamic and unstructured environments
- Robotic solutions to support precision farming tasks
- The integration of digital models and field data to optimise decision making
Results from the AgRimate project show how robotics can become a key ally in making agriculture more resilient and sustainable.
WS#16 Is it the human or the robot? Exploring the human factors that make for successful collaboration
TECNALIA will present advances in the FORTIS project, which focuses on safe collaboration between people and robots. The main topics covered will include:
- Human factors that influence effective interaction
- Control and monitoring to ensure safety and reliability
- Assessment methods in real-world industrial environments
TECNALIA's involvement is focused on how to design collaborative systems that really work in the field, taking human perception, cognitive load and trust in technology into account.
WS#18 Who is leading whom? AI with human-in-the-loop for reconfigurable systems
This workshop will look at how to strategically integrate human intervention into AI-based systems. TECNALIA will present cases and methodologies developed in the AgRimate and FORTIS projects, based on content assigned in the final programme in areas such as:
- User-assisted AI for adapting robot behaviour
- Reconfigurable systems capable of responding to changes in the environment
- Autonomous robotics applications in real-world operating environments
TECNALIA's commitment to high-impact robotics
TECNALIA's involvement in ERF 2026 strengthens our commitment to applied robotics, aimed at solving real challenges in strategic sectors such as agriculture and industry.
