Spyro and TECNALIA create “VIXION”, a company that focuses on boosting Industry 4.0

2 November 2017

The aim of Vixion is to become a leading company in the global machine connectivity solutions market

Vixion is the result of pioneering work in technology transfer in Europe. The R&D departments of SPYRO and TECNALIA have been working on it together, alongside four major machine tool manufacturers: Zayer, Ibarmia, Nicolás Correa and Ona. These companies have already installed the solution in their machines and it has become a benchmark for Industry 4.0.

With this new solution and the establishment of the new business, SPYRO and TECNALIA continue to be pioneering companies in Industry 4.0. They are also taking part in several projects that are conducting research into and starting up “smart factories”. The companies are planning to invest one million euros over the next three years.

Vixion enables the identification of machine behaviour by monitoring logs and applying predictive maintenance algorithms, to anticipate possible problems and improve machine productivity. This enables us to change how we communicate with machines, and thus the way we manufacture them and work with them, so we can get the best performance out of them.
