7 October 2021

Osasunberri’s approach will generate a direct impact on society; the industrial network; and the hospital system.

A total number of 25 companies from the Basque Country and Navarre, including TECNALIA, the Basque Health Cluster, and ASEBIO, collaborate in the Osasunberri initiative. The goal of this initiative is to join forces and strengthen the zero-mile health industry and the health care system, achieving efficient, comprehensive and sustainable management of the current pandemic and potential future pandemics.

Osasunberri was created as a collaborative project for innovation and investments, framed within the NEXT GENERATION EU recovery programme. It considers four areas of activity: OSASUNTEST, OSASUNTHERAPY, OSASUNASSISTANCE, and OSASUNCONNECT; thus covering from diagnosis to therapy and healthcare assistance in the fight against COVID-19.

Osasunberri’s approach will generate a direct impact on society; the industrial network; and the hospital system. It will generate 300 job positions, attracting investments in productive infrastructures and innovation, increasing turnover of participating companies, investing in R&D, and creating start-ups within the sector.
