“More than twenty Basque institutions and companies are supporting and collaborating with this event”
TECNALIA is holding OREGAUA once again at the European Researchers’ Night
This event aims to bring science closer to citizens with participatory, informative and fun experiences based on “made in Euskadi” climate challenge solutions. The main objective is to raise awareness of the effects of climate change on the Basque coast, and to highlight the key role of science in the fight against global warming. The event will take place on Friday 26 September, and is part of a network of events taking place simultaneously in more than 460 European cities.
OREGAUA 2025
More than 100 researchers will take part in this event and will share their work and passion for science with society. OREGAUA is also an opportunity to showcase the leadership of Basque industry in areas such as marine renewable energies and to encourage young people to pursue a career in science.
The first edition of this event was attended by more than 2,000 people, and this year it will be held at the Lasesarre sports centre in Barakaldo, with a wide-ranging free programme for all audiences.
