Galardonados en los Mubil Mobility Awards por nuestros avances en propulsión eléctrica

“The propulsion system is designed for recreational and professional boats, and stands out for its responsiveness”

This award recognises TECNALIA’s commitment to improving energy efficiency and reducing the environmental impact of maritime transport.

On 23 October, ESEA won an award at the MUBIL Mobility Awards 2025 for its high-end electric outboard propulsion, developed in collaboration with TECNALIA.

This award recognises a joint project that promotes the transition towards a more sustainable, efficient and silent maritime mobility.

High-end electric propulsion for sustainable vessels

The award-winning solution is a technological breakthrough in the naval sector, integrating an electric propulsion system that combines energy efficiency, low environmental impact and advanced performance. The propulsion system is designed for recreational and professional boats, and stands out for its responsiveness, autonomy and ease of integration.

    • The collaboration between TECNALIA and ESEA has been key in the development of this technology, which incorporates power electronics, smart control and optimised design.
    • This alliance reinforces the positioning of both entities as benchmarks for sustainable mobility in the maritime environment.

Recognition for technological innovation in mobility

Each year, the MUBIL Mobility Awards recognise the most innovative sustainable mobility projects.

    • This year, the jury particularly valued the technological impact and market potential of the electric propulsion system developed by ESEA and TECNALIA, and highlighted its contribution to the decarbonisation of maritime transport.
    • This award strengthens their commitment to applied research and technology transfer, and helps them to become key players in the transformation of the naval sector towards more sustainable models.
