Fesia, a TECNALIA portfolio company, wins the Toribio Echevarria Support for Internationalisation Award 2021

This company develops advanced functional electrostimulation solutions for the rehabilitation of people with diseases or injuries in the central nervous system.

The award ceremony for the 31st Edition of the Toribio Echevarria Awards was held on Thursday, 22nd July, in which one of our portfolio companies, Fesia, was the winner of the “Support for Internationalisation” Award.

The Toribio Echevarria Awards, promoted by Eibar Town Hall and BIC Gipuzkoa, are organised in order to recognise the work of entrepreneurs, foster initiative and encourage creation and business development. In this edition, 22 candidates were received related to business initiatives in the health, food, energy, sustainability and ICT sectors.

Awards in the “Business Ideas/Projects” and “Start-up Company” categories come with prize money of €10,500 and access to diverse aid, training and consultancy programmes. The winning company of the “Support for Internationalisation” Award also receives economic support and guidance on how to tackle its development process in other countries. The “Eibar Town Hall” extraordinary awards also come with prize money of €10,500 and access to specialised training through BIC Gipuzkoa.

The award ceremony was held at the Coliseo Antzokia in Eibar and was attended by Markel Olano, Deputy General for Gipuzkoa, Arantxa Tapia, Minister of Economic Development and Infrastructure of the Basque Country, and the Mayor of Eibar, Jon Iraola.
